What have you learnt through blogging?

Ive basicly learned all about making blogs and communication. I learned about safety over the internet and how you cant ever say your last name or school. I learned how to put pictures on blogs as well.

 What would I say to other year 8’s thinking about blogging?

I sometimes find it boring, but its fun to get comments and put comments on your friends blogs. I suppose its fun though overall, and its not hard so its better than just reading from a textbook! Its interesting to look through other peoples blogs and see their veiws on things.

What would you say about using blogging as a way of learning?

I suppose you don’t really learn much from blogging because most of the things you write are just a matter of opinion. You can learn things from other peoples blogs but you can’t be sure that they are telling the truth.

In English at the moment we’re reading a book called ‘The Dons.’ I haven’t read much yet but so far Im not particularly enthralled by it. Anyways, can’t be bothered writting more.

Hey pplz,

On Saturday I went shopping with my friends Tegan and Gemma, and Tegans friend Christie, and Gemma’s bf Tommo, and Tommo’s friends Jack and Wes. It was alright, lol we basicly sat outside McDonalds the whole time throwing a ball at randoms.

But Sunday was like the best day eva! I went to Stringybark Festival with my bestie Tania & her friend Zac. I got along with Zac really well and it wasnt at all awkward. Tania painted a catipillar, lol. There were all these cute plaster statues and she chose the catipillar and took about half an hour to paint. I had a really good day.

Hi. I dont know what to say, That title took alot out of me, lol.

 We’ve just been given a new assignment in English, but its not due for ages, luckily. Its an argumentative speech. Basicaly the idea is to capture your audience and use language that is persuasive to make them believe what you’re saying.

Im doing mine on the topic “Should university be free” and im taking the approach that it should be. I wanna get started on writting the speech now so Ill leave you all with a line from the best speech in the world (in my opinion)

Today we all have to write about good teachers and learning.

In my eyes a good teacher is encouraging, kind and understanding. They encourage creativity and individuality. I like young teachers because they can relate to you.

I like Mrs Mcleay because she encourages creativity. Her classes are carefree and she usually makes them interesting. Sometimes we just talk all lesson about anything.

 I like Miss McLoud because she’s young and fun. Also she loves lost which is a plus. Lol.

I dislike teachers who don’t let you talk in class and dont understand you. I hate it when they want you to be like everyone else, and try to stifle your creativity and individuality.

Hey everyone, Just thought I’d say hi seeing as I havent posted anything in months and months and months.

OMG OMG OMG JAMIE AND CAMILLA ARE IN THE FINAL OF BIG BROTHER!!! WHOOOOOO HOOOOOO!!! They’ve been my two favourite housemates from the very start so I’m soooo happy its them two in the final.

Hmmmm What else is happening…

I MISS TEGAN!!!!! Tegan is one of my best friends at school and she’s been away in Queensland for over a week and Im starting to get to a point of insanity. I MISS HER!!! Lol “Tegan phone home”         
I am now referred to as Claire’O'Saurus (Dont ask me why, it’s just something funny that Gemma came up with.) And I call Gemma Gemmyshorts. Rachel is Rachiepants, and Tegan is Teggsy (alot of ppl just call her Tex but I call her Tegs or Teggsy.)Im bored now, and Im probably boring you so I’ll just carry on my merry way old chap. Have a jolly good day.

In English at the moment we’re reading a book called Goodnight Mr Tom. It’s about World War 2 in England. Willie is a shy eight year old boy, brought up by his horrible, over religious Mother who beats him so much that he thinks he is bad, wicked boy. He is evacuated to the country to live with Mr Tom, a gruff old man and his border collie Sammy. Mr Tom brings happiness to Willie’s life and teaches him to read, and write, and buys Willie paints, and pencils and Willie discovers that he is an incredible artist. Well, to cut a VERY long story short, his Mother summons him back to London as she is ill, and is appauled to learn that Willie can speak for himself, stands up for himself, asks alot of questions when in her mind, needs to learn to shut-up. But the last straw was when she found out that he had a friend in the country who is Jewish. She starts screaming “You BLASPHEMER!!! Youve been poisened by the devil!” And she beats him till he passes out, ties him to a railing holding her baby girl and leaves for weeks to a bible camp, so she says. It was the saddest thing ever to read. But of course Mr Tom saves the day coming to London when he senced something was wrong. The poor baby was dead, and Willie was covered in sores and bruises, and he takes willie back to live with him in the country. Hey everyone,

Here’s another poem that I wrote for English, we all had to write a poem about a Weather Warrior. I don’t like this poem as much as ‘This is me’ but I’m still proud of it.

The Weather Warrior
 

It started as a peaceful day,
 

Everyone going along their merry way.
  

The trees would sway, and the sun would sing,
 

Then everyone heard the warning ring…
  

“The Warrior is coming to town!!!”
 

 “He’s going to tear all our buildings down!!!”
  

The sun looked scared, and it stopped singing,
 

All the while the bell kept ringing…
  

All of a sudden, terror descended,
 

And all of the happiness hurriedly ended.
  

He stormed on in, with a scowl on his face,
 

And all the villagers began to race.
 

He pulled out his club, and he pulled out his spear,
 

You can see why the villagers were all in fear.
 

He began his rampage, all the killing and blood,
 

He ruined the dam that brought on the flood.
 

He pulled up the trees, and threw spears at the sun,
 

Everyone cried at the damage he’d done.
 

This is Gerard Way from My Chemical Romance, which is a band that I love, lol though I only like a few of their songs such as Demolitian Lovers, Helena, All I want for Christmas is you, and Im not Okay- My all time favorite song.
